little sisters would want to wear. I play guitar on five songs on the tour and I love that. It makes it even more exciting for me. It’s also exciting that our shows are never that structured, so every night is different in terms of how we move around and what we say to the crowd. It’s great getting to mix things up a bit. The third album is coming together really well. The most important thing is that we make music the fans will love. It’s probably a bit more of a “grown-up” sound this time
the sixth member of the band. Liam: Paul is everyone’s road dad. WHO DO YOU TURN TO IF YOU’RE UPSET? Zayn: It just depends on who is there. Louis is really good, because as much as he’s crazy he does have a really sensible side to him and he makes a lot of sense. He’s good to talk to if you want a stable head and a bit of advice. The one thing I always take with me is a hat, in case I’m having a bad hair day. I also like to take my laptop,
iPod and PlayStation to keep myself amused. I find it really easy to relax when I’m traveling, and it’s nice to be able to spend proper time with the other lads after the show and talk about it on the bus. That’s when we get to spend really long chunks of time together, so we can mess around and vibe off of each other. It’s also a great time to phone friends and family, as sometimes you have no choice but to chill out and take time for yourself. I like flying as well, because if you’ve had a
